In 1992 Smile was founded in Pudong, Shanghai.
   
In 1994 Smile’s textile ceramics were exported to Europe, America and Southeast Asia.  
   
In 1995 Smile independently developed semi-automatic mechanical precision polishing technique.
   
In 1997 Smile independently developed automatic precision polishing technique . Meanwhile, the sales network covers 46 countries around the world.
   
In 1998 Smile independently developed high purity(99.5%)alumina ceramic material and high precision mirror polishing technique applied to the complex surface of ceramic yarn guide used in high speed weaving. The same year, its production and sales reached over 15million pieces involved in textile and machinery industries.
   
In 1999 Smile acquired the certificate of ISO9000:1994 quality management system and developed ceramic products made from zirconia and alumina.
   
In 2000 Smile was rated as Shanghai high-tech enterprise and independently developed low friction coefficient applied to ceramic yarn guide used in super-speed spinning machinery. The same year, the dry pressing technology workshop was established.
   
In 2002 Smile acquired the certificate of ISO9000:2000 quality management system. The total production and sales was over 35 million pieces.
   
In 2004
Smile began to develop and supply ceramic products in the automotive field.
   
In 2005
 Dongtai Smile New Material Tech Co., Ltd was founded. It developed Micro-arc oxidation technique which is widely known as the state of the art.
   
In 2006
 Smile started to developing solar cell products and super-high pure ceramic products(99.7%and 99.99%).
   
In 2008
 Smile began to supply solar energy ceramic products and was rated as Shanghai high-tech enterprise again the same year.
   
In 2010
 Smile acquired the certificate of ISO9001:2008 quality management system and the certificate of ISO14000 environmental management system.  
   
In 2011
 Smile participated in and supplied ceramic products for medical equipment.
   
In 2018
 Smile introduced fully automatic grouting molding equipment and applied it to the production of high-volume products, which significantly improved the molding efficiency.
   
In 2019 Smile developed and supplied ceramic products in the field of communication. 
   
In 2020
 Smile introduced inner diameter and outer diameter grinding, surface grinding and other finishing equipment, and prepared to build a finishing workshop.
   
In 2021
 Smile introduced a fully automatic visual inspection machine and applied it to the comprehensive inspection of some items in high-volume products.
   
In 2022
 Smile acquired the certificate of IATF16949 quality management system. It introduced finishing equipment for special use and had the ability of grinding and polishing high precision shafts and bushing.
